Another Outdoor Event Planned for Sunday, September 19th with In-Person Religious Education (RE)

Last Sunday’s outdoor event test case went very well so we are planning another outdoor/zoom hybrid service for this Sunday September 19th.  We learned a lot and will make a few adjustments which includes moving back a bit into the shade of some tree. The building will still be closed at this time. We invite those in the congregation who are interested to bring chairs and watch the Zoom service outdoors with masks and social distancing. This will be held during the regular Zoom service time. If you’ve been eager to meet in person, we hope you will take advantage of this opportunity. If you are unable or uncomfortable meeting in person, you can still attend the regular Zoom service from your home computer or smart phone.

Same Time

The service will begin at the usual time of 10:30am. If you plan on coming to the church, we recommend you arrive at the church a few minutes early to find a comfortable spot. You will need to bring;

  1. Your own chair
  2. Your own drink
  3. An umbrella for shade if needed
  4. A facemask

There will be no childcare at this time. Please keep an eye on the bulletin board emails for possible cancelation due to bad weather.

In-Person Religious Education (RE)

The RE Program will be offering distanced, community building activities to children and youth who are present at our in-person Sunday Service this week. Anyone age 4 to grade 12 is welcome to join us as we get to know each other, learn together, and have fun! We will be outdoors and moving around, so please have kids dressed appropriately for the weather and wearing sunscreen, and we encourage every family to bring some water for their children – the forecast says it will be hot out!

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding during these difficult times.

In faith,

The Executive Team and the Board of Trustees
