Pre-Thanksgiving Potluck
November 19, 2022 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm Before the craziness of the holidays begin, we came together for a low-key community potluck. There were no rules about who should bring what – everyone just brought whatever they wanted to. Lots of fellowship was had by all.
From the Revitalization Team
Hello Friends, Earlier in the year, the Revitalization Team, Board of Trustees, and Executive Team joined forces for a Joint Leadership Task Force. The main activity of this task force was to look at how the church was functioning as a lay-led congregation. We came up with a long list of activities that a minister normally leads or is involved in and discussed where we thought we had gaps and what priorities we should work on. One of the things…

RT is making progress.
Hello friends! The smell of fresh tacos is still lingering after Sunday’s celebratory Homecoming Luncheon and I’m once again grateful for the incredible community we’ve got here. I’m also grateful for my fellow Revitalization Teammates who dug deep to pull that event off… in spite of the weather and pandemic hurdles thrown at us. We welcomed Sarah Stultz to the RT and have been meeting twice a month…
Join us Sunday September 11th for UUCE’s Homecoming!
The tradition of Homecoming that we’re all familiar with started in 1910 at the University of Illinois as way of giving alumni and new students the opportunity to get closer to one another and realize the “real greatness of the University”. The members of the Revitalization Team think that sentiment fits perfectly for our much-anticipated return to UUCE after a summer of vacations and time off! The festivities will take place right after the Sunday Water Communion Service and all are welcome…
