Small groups come in a variety of sizes, descriptions, memberships, interests, purposes, but the one thing they all have in common is the intention of building community and connections among the members of the church body. Some small groups center around an activity, such as the Prairie Voices, the handbell choir, Circle Supper and Ethnic Eating. Other small groups gather to share in discussions, such as the Adult Religious Education group, the covenant groups, the book group. Small groups are a wonderful way to get to know other members of the congregation better and on a deeper level.
As the small group coordinator, I am gathering names of those who are interested in covenant groups. There are few places in our lives where we are invited to talk without interruption and listen without judgment. A covenant group is such a place. A covenant group consists of 8 to 12 members, meets on a regular basis and explores different topics chosen by the members of the group. if such a group appeals to you or you want more information, please contact me–Kathy Hislip at wiljim7488@aol.com or text me at 847-508-0716. I’ll be compiling a list in the next two weeks and will send out more information to those interested,
Waiting to hear from you, Kathy
