Well, the 12 became 8 but the food at Mariscos El Charco remained superb as the another visit to Caribbean (this time Barbados) cuisine occurred. No photos were made because everyone was too busy consuming seafood to stop for such mundane matters. If you haven’t visited this local Elgin eatery, try to take it in. It’s well worth your time.
And that brings us to Belarus. We will be frequenting November’s selection at Belarusian Restaurant Visilki at 250 McHenry Road, Wheeling, IL at 3:30 on Sunday, November 12th. Please let me know of your interest by November 6th by text at 847-243-3820 or by email at dwhislip@gmail.com. This should be a treat. December will bring us to Belgium. We will be enjoying Belgium-style mussels and frites along with a large selection of Belgium beers and ales. I’m still looking for a convenient date to schedule this but be assured it will be early in December to avoid conflicts with Christmas activities. Then in next year’s first quarter, we will try Belize, Benin and Bermuda. Please find an occasion to join us for an evening or afternoon of food and fellowship.
