Ethnic Eating Update

It turns out that thirteen is not so unlucky after all. On November 12th, 13 of us visited and sampled foods of Belarus at Belarusian Restaurant Visilki at 250 McHenry Road, Wheeling, IL at 3:30. It was a tasty experience and I heard threats of return visits. I’ve left the address in this report for those of you “unlucky” to have missed it.

On December 10 at 3:30, we’ll be experiencing some of the cuisine of Belgium at Hopleaf Bar at 5148 N. Clark Street in Chicago. There we will be enjoying Belgium-style mussels and Belgium-style frites along with Belgium beers and ales. Please let me know of your interest by December 3rd by text at 847-243-3820 or by email at dwhislip@gmail.com. I’ve never been but several folks that have recommended it highly.

On January 21st we will try a taste of Belize at A Taste of Belize in Waukegan at 2207 Grand Avenue. The same contact information works if this strikes your fancy. In February, we will visit Qatar African Restaurant to taste the cuisine of Benin. And, Bermuda is the target and we’ll be enjoying the seafood at Port Edward in Algonquin. Dates still to be determined.  I hope you will find an occasion to join us for an evening or afternoon of food and fellowship.
