Ethnic Eating Update

I really haven’t felt like writing about food lately much less tasting it. However, on Sunday afternoon, Kathy, Lydia Larrabee, Diana March and I traveled down to Hopleaf Bar on Clark Street to sample the cuisine of Belgium. There we enjoyed Belgium-style mussels and Belgium-style frites along with Belgium beers and ales. Absolutely delicious and a wonderful experience. 

On January 21st we will try A Taste of Belize in Waukegan at 2207 Grand Avenue. Please let me know of your interest by January 3rd by text at 847-243-3820 or by email at

Then, in February, we will visit Qatar African Restaurant at 7118 N. Clark Street in Chicago to taste the cuisine of Benin.  Date and time still to be determined.  I hope you will find an occasion to join us for an evening or afternoon of food and fellowship.
