Ethnic Eating

Has your summer included some travel? If so, congrats! If not, don’t despair. I’m going to invite you to take a trip in your mind that will hopefully ignite your tastebuds. Yes, we are going to restart Ethnic Eating, picking up right where we left off with a trip to the food of Andorra.

Just to whet your appetite, we will be frequenting Mercat a la Planxa at 638 S Michigan Ave in Chicago at 6 PM on Saturday, September 24th. Before you say anything, I am aware that this is all the way into the City but just think how many miles you don’t have to travel to visit the principality nestled in the eastern Pyrenees between France and Spain. The cuisine is Catalonian and, from what I hear, special. If you are interested, I need to confirm reservations for the appropriate number of gastronomical tourists. Please send the information to me at dwhislip@gmail.com.

And, while you are salivating from this news. We will be visiting Vee-Vees African restaurant on Saturday, October 15th to sample the foods of Angola. Let me know about that also.

What would be the best way to accomplish that? Thanks.

Peace,

Dan
