From the Worship Team

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about the place Dr. Seuss refers to as, “The Waiting Place”.  This time of year I always seem to get stuck in The Waiting Place – waiting for W2s so we can get our taxes done (and, hopefully, get some money back), waiting for the weather to warm up, waiting for Spring Break…

Hopefully, one thing we won’t have to be waiting on too much longer is a return to in-person activities and services!  It was great to see so many off you at our bonfire earlier this month and I hope to see many of you for the Revitalization Team’s hike on March 5th.  And thanks to the improvement in the COVID metrics and the hard work of the Re-Opening Team, I’m optimistic we’ll be able to return to in-person services sometime soon.  (Extra thanks to Mike Moutrie for his work on the Sanctuary’s hardware so we’ll be able to continue sharing our in-person services via Zoom for those that can’t join us!)

Recently, the Revitalization Team shared some of the feedback they received from their Lay-Led Congregational Survey.  One of the most frequently expressed sentiments about our lay-led worship services is that you appreciate and enjoy hearing from a variety of people and that you enjoy getting to know the members of Worship Team through our words.  The Worship Team is grateful for your feedback and we’d like to respond with a challenge to all of you:

The Worship Team only represents a small portion of our church’s membership and we think everyone would like to get to know more about you as well.  So be on the lookout for opportunities to share your thoughts and beliefs through services like Music Sunday (coming up in a few weeks), This I Believe, and more.  If you already know you’d like to participate in some way, please let us know so we can put you on our list – and if we reach out to you because we think you have ideas worth sharing, please consider accepting our invitation!

Thank you again for continuing to do all that you do for our community!
