Homecoming Luncheon and Gathering

The tradition of Homecoming that we’re all familiar with started in 1910 at the University of Illinois as a way of giving alumni and new students the opportunity to get closer to one another and realize the “real greatness of the University”. 4th Sunday Styrofoam Collection

Sunday, August 28, from 11:30am – 12pm Please separate your CLEAN food grade Styrofoam from your packaging Styrofoam and bag as needed.  Styrofoam peanuts are NOT accepted (take to UPS store).  Place your Styrofoam in the Prius with the open hatch in the church parking lot. Fox River Trail Walk in Elgin

You are invited to join the Revitalization Team on Friday, August 19, at 5:30pm for an out-and-back walk along the Fox River in downtown Elgin. We’ll go from Festival Park to Walton Island and Pioneer Park. 1.5-mile round trip but people can feel free to turn around at any point along the way. All-Ages Rock Painting

Come paint rocks with us after the Sunday service! Participants of all ages are welcome, and both rocks and paints will be provided, though you’re always welcome to bring extras. There will be an opportunity to paint some UUCE community rocks, as well as paint whatever you’d like! For more information, reach out to RE Coordinator Marj Askins.

Post-Roe Youth Check-in

This is an opportunity for the youth of UUCE to discuss the recent overturning of Roe v Wade. It’s a time for youth to get their questions answered, and to get informed about their rights. If you have any questions, feel free to contact RE Coordinator Marj Askins.

Family Cookout & Overnight Camping

The Revitalization Team invites you to another exciting family-friendly event at UUCE – this time a cookout and camping opportunity! We’ll meet at the church on Saturday, July 30th at 5pm for a potluck/cookout including a bonfire and a chance for outdoor games.
