4th Sunday Styrofoam Collection

Please separate your CLEAN food grade Styrofoam from your packaging Styrofoam and bag as needed.  Styrofoam peanuts are NOT accepted (take to UPS store).  Place your Styrofoam in the Prius with the open hatch in the church parking lot. Joe Masonick will be doing the collecting. We’ll drive it to Dart Container Corporation in North Aurora (open 24/7).  Please try to avoid using Styrofoam because its use is not sustainable. Many people manage to avoid it; indeed, entire countries do without it.…

January Ethnic Eating

For January, we will be visiting another island country of the Caribbean – Antigua and Barbuda. And we won’t have to go far. We’ll sample the dishes of the sea at Marisco El Charco at 302 S. McLean Blvd, Suite G, Elgin, IL at 5 pm on Saturday, January 14th. I hope you will be able to join us. Reservations are required, please contact Dan Hislip.

Hygge Hangout

Thank you to all who joined us in Fellowship Hall! We enjoyed our Hygge themed environment with some soft lighting, a roaring fire, tea and cocoa, and yummy snacks.  Lots of friends of all ages brought items to relax and basked in the coziness of our evening with comfortable clothes, slippers, blankets, games, puzzles, and crafts. Please join the Revitalization Team at our next event: https://uuce.org/events/valentines-pot-luck/.

No Sunday Worship Service Today

We will be taking off Christmas Day and New Year’s Day to allow our staff and volunteers time to spend with their families. We’ll be back together January 8th with our annual Fire Communion.

Gift Wrapping Social

We hope you didn’t wrap your seasonal gifts at home alone! The Revitalization team hosted a gift wrapping event on 12/17 from 2-4pm. Folks brought unwrapped gifts and wrapping supplies, joined with other members, and wrapped gifts in a holiday  atmosphere in Fellowship Hall!
