Chelsea began attending UUCE as a child with her family. Music has always played a large role in her life, having starting learning violin at age 4. She joined the Unichords handbell choir in high school, and again when she returned to Elgin after college. She took over as the Unichords director in 2017, running rehearsals and planning quarterly performances. In 2019, she became UUCE’s Music Director, taking on a more central role in UUCE’s Music Programs.
She’s a singer, violinist, and arranger, with more than 13 years of experience in music performance. Along with her position at UUCE, Chelsea is a violin and viola teacher at a local private studio. In her position as Music Director, she works to incorporate both modern and traditional musical styles in regular worship.
