This Sunday we will kick off our first Religious Exploration (RE) classes. If you have not registered your child(ren)/youth, please take a moment to do so. Registration must be completed for all children and youth planning to attend RE and/or Child Care (CC).

We are excited to offer Religious Exploration across the lifespan at UUCE.
Thanks to our RE Facilitators, Dan & Kathy Hislip (and a few friends), Elizabeth Bailey, Amanda DeConcilis, Paul Higginbotham, and Todd Underwood for their efforts to facilitate RE for members, friends and visitors of all ages!
Dan and Kathy Hislip, along with a friend or two, will offer Adult RE beginning this Sunday, October 4th at 9:00AM in the third-floor couch room. This first gathering will be more of a “meet and greet” and introduction into how things will run/scheduling. This will be an open group—each meeting functioning as a stand-alone offering, so anyone can attend any session as best meets their needs.
This year, Littles RE will utilize UUA’s new curriculum, Woven Faith. The UUA created Woven Faith to both honor our UU past and incorporate our present and future expressions of faith. This year’s curriculum is titled “Living Our UU Values.” Themes will center around the new shared UU values. The Littles first theme will focus on Interdependence.
This year, our Youth will continue with the UUA’s Journeys of Deeper Joy, a role play game and delve into studying world religions utilizing the Crash Course Religions series. Crash Course Religions is a 24-episode YouTube and public broadcasting series hosted by author John Green that explores the history, culture, and meaning-making frameworks of various global religious traditions.
Important Dates:
October 4 & 25- RE Sundays, Children and Youth will have RE classes
Please note that RE classes will begin on October 4th. Children and youth must be registered prior to attending RE classes and childcare.
October 11 & 18- No RE, Families are encouraged to enjoy worship together on these Sundays. Childcare is available for children through the age of 9.
