Built from a reconstructed barn, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Elgin is a unique building in the area. The building is nestled behind a native prairie that is maintained by the church members.
Our building is currently closed to visitors.
Please see our Building Policies for more information.
Contact us if you’re interested in renting space in our building for weddings, meetings, parties, or any other occasion.
We strive to make UUCE welcoming to everyone. Our on-site parking lot includes wheel-chair accessible parking and entrance. Inside, we have a wheel-chair accessible elevator so visitors can explore all three floors of our building, and our sanctuary has dedicated wheel-chair seating at both the front and back of the seating area.
UUCE houses the largest outdoor labyrinth in Illinois. Unlike a maze, a labyrinth only has one possible path. The purpose isn’t to puzzle your way out, but rather to allow your journey into the labyrinth to mirror a journey into yourself. Our Labyrinth is open to all for their spiritual practice.
