Closing Announcement

COVID Cases in Kane County have been rising since the beginning of the month and have surpassed the levels the Reopening Team determined would be safe to meet for Sunday Services. Our service this Sunday will be online only, and more information about building use policy will follow next week. Fourth Sunday Styrofoam Collection

FOURTH SUNDAY STYROFOAM COLLECTION November 28 from 11:30 -12:00 (NEW TIME) We will collect the Styrofoam in a Prius in the church parking lot. Please separate your CLEAN food grade Styrofoam from your packaging Styrofoam and bag as needed.  Styrofoam peanuts are NOT accepted (take to UPS store). We take the Styrofoam to Dart Container Corporation in North Aurora which is open 24/7.Please try to avoid using Styrofoam.  Its use is not sustainable. YWCA of Elgin Giving Tree Project

November will be the second month that the YWCA of Elgin is the recipient of our Share The Plate collection.  We are committed to supporting the Giving Tree project again this year.  As you know, our attendance at church services has lessened during the pandemic, which naturally impacts the number of donations to our Share The Plate monthly collection.  By extending the YWCA’s funding into a second month, we hope that returning to in-person services will gradually increase attendance, and also,…

Religious Education for ages 4-18

Our RE Classes will be meeting once again this coming Sunday! Kids aged 4-11 will meet in the big classroom on the 3rd floor, and will be doing a fun activity to learn about different ways of understanding miracles. Youth aged 12 and up will be in the Couch Room on the 3rd floor and will be exploring the practice of meditation. Unitarian Universalist Service Committee’s Coffee Project

Coffees, and Chocolates and Teas, Oh My! Fair Trade and Organic, Too! UUs are linked with small farmers and their families through fair trade, thanks to the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee’s Coffee Project. The UUSC is a nonprofit, nonsectarian organization advancing human rights together with an international community of grassroots partners and advocates. Reopening for Sunday October 31st

With the metrics in good shape, we’re finally having our first in-person service this Sunday, October 31st! What to Expect In line with CDC guidelines, all adults and children over 2 years are required to wear a face mask covering the nose and mouth. The Chicago Area UU Council (CAUUC) Fall Conference will be held on Saturday, November 13th 9:30am-12pm and be conducted via Zoom video conference.
